Atlanta maternity photographer | Awaiting baby Hattie
As time goes on and the years of being 'in business' accrue, it has become clear to me that one of the greatest gifts in my job is having clients return to me. Choosing to have me document the most substantial parts of life....wow. I don't take it lightly. So when my former bride Haley contacted me with news of her pregnancy (and the request for me to photographically document it) you better believe I was ecstatic. This momma to be is a bride I've been fortunate enough to keep up with since her wedding - sweet as she is beautiful and a great sense of humor, she's left a mark on my heart. I should not be surprised we've kept in touch!
SO. Pregnancy in the winter when you love natural light photos...not the easiest! Timing for the perfectly sized baby bump and good weather can take a little extra patience. Sometimes you just have to laugh and be flexible. We were, and after poor weather thwarted our plans multiple times we were finally granted the absolute perfect day to shoot. February is typically frigid in the south, but we snagged a wild card warm front that surrounded us in mid seventies temperatures and golden light. Good things come to those who wait. Or reschedule. ;) Haley selected a perfectly pink dress and I was lucky to find some early blooms to work with. We started in a garden like area then wandered to the shoreline of Lake Hartwell. It all felt so fitting. The renewing power of water and new life in the trees as they prepare for baby. Thank you Haley and Joe for having me capture this fleeting, beautiful chapter.
