Highlands Photographer | A North Carolina cottage
If you have ever been to western North Carolina, you know it is a special pocket of the south. Rolling mountains, charming towns, copious campgrounds, lush foliage and cool air even in the dead of summer - it's a slice of heaven if you can slow down and take it in. I'm lucky to live relatively close to the getaway towns of Highlands, Cashiers and Brevard and take every chance I get to spend time "up" there. No surprise, when Annie contacted me about photographing her cottage in Highlands I was inclined to immediately say yes. After learning more about the cottage I knew it was the perfect space to photograph on film and share with my clients and friends. The home has been owned by the same family for over 50 years, and Annie has breathed new life into the space with fresh furnishings and calming hues of paint. Inviting, cozy and loaded with appealing aesthetics the 'Honeymoon Cottage' is the perfect place to escape the grind and get back to basics. Just around the corner from downtown Highlands yet nestled in a quiet neighborhood where all you hear is the birds and wind through the trees.
