Magic in Eastern Tennessee | RT Lodge part 2
I am back to share part 2 of my time spent at the RT Lodge Fam Trip! Be sure to visit PART 1 to get all the details and see more photos.
On our second full day, we started with a bounty of breakfast options including my favorite - greek yogurt with fresh berries and house made granola. Can't get enough. After breakfast there was yoga by the pond, or you could just be leisurely for a while before lunch. My friend Lauren and I decided to go for a run around Maryville, easily accessed right beyond the Lodge property through Maryville College. When we all arrived to lunch a magical garden theme awaited.....I mean just look at these photos! Alex, Colby and team put together a drool worthy display packed with details including potted plants, moss, baskets, gingham, butterflies. The list goes on! Gorgeous Hammamas turkish towels greeted us at our seats, along with pretty watercolor menus and place cards by The Darling Type. After devouring yet another amazing meal, we had a little friendly competition between tables. The challenge : build an arrangement using the goods displayed on the welcome table with allowance for some foraging around the property. The judges : gracious men of RT Lodge. Need I say more? The most unbiased and fair choice amongst a group of wedding professionals. The winning table got gift cards to a local boutique, My Kind of Lovely. Pretty sweet! Natural soap making with Rainwater Farm followed lunch, and they also gifted us with some heavenly facial oils.
Saving the best for last, Alex planned a dream dinner on the front lawn. Her vision included white linens with bright blooms dressing the tables, along with coordinating the attending guests. We all donned our neutrals, and got to play at the Lisi Lerch earring bar for a pop of fancy color. Colby crafted lush arrangements with saturated blooms including coral charm peonies, purple iris, parrot tulips and ranunculus. By then we had all made so many friends that this dinner was bittersweet. But we made the most of it, laughing and dancing the night away. A night to remember!
