Savannah Wedding Photographer | Wormsloe Plantation Engagement
When most people think of "The South", this is exactly how I imagine they picture it. Spanish moss draping the winding arms of massive oaks, crumbling architecture left standing after a war long passed and dusty old roads with golden beams of light radiating in the distance. That may not be the case for the bulk of our southern landscape, but luckily it does in fact exist. One of these scenes is preserved right inside the gates of Wormsloe Plantation just outside of Savannah, Georgia.
When my clients Kelsey and Dave asked how I felt about meeting for their engagement session in this location, I knew without a doubt it was the perfect place for film and romance. We met on a blustery day, which only intensified the charm of the Spanish moss and how light dances through its tendrils. Kelsey chose the perfect ivory dress, light enough to blow beautifully in the breeze and elegantly simple as a compliment to the busy nature of the scenery. But the real star of the show here? Love. I say this with sincerity. Watching Kelsey and Dave enjoy each others company with excitement and ease as I carefully crafted each frame, I knew when the images came back this is what would shine through. Be still my photographer heart. These moments are why I stay so excited about my work and I can't wait to capture this wedding day in Savannah come autumn!
